District Court will Remain Open During Lapse in Federal Appropriations: During the current lapse in federal appropriations, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana will remain open for business and will maintain sufficient staffing as necessary to continue to support the court's constitutional and statutory obligations. Absent further order, all trials and hearings will proceed as scheduled. Electronic case filing will remain available through CM/ECF and all filing deadlines will remain in effect except as otherwise ordered in General Order 2025-13

Important Notice for Individuals Attempting to Pay a U.S. District Court Violation Notice On-line: A fake website is currently impersonating www.cvb.uscourts.gov and may attempt to collect personal or financial information fraudulently. The only official website for paying a U.S. District Court Violation Notice is www.cvb.uscourts.gov. If you are paying online, please verify the web address carefully and report suspicious activity to the Central Violations Bureau (CVB) at 800-827-2982 or info@cvb.uscourts.gov. Alternatively, you may pay a ticket over the phone by calling the CVB at the same number.

URGENT - Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) Scam: Courts have been informed that fake Notices of Electronic Filing ("NEFs") are being sent to attorneys and law firms across the country. These fake NEFs are phishing attempts to convince recipients to respond back to the emails. Federal courts will never use a phone call or email to request personal or financial information, or to threaten recipients who don't comply. Cases and case documents should be validated through CM/ECF only. Do not download any attachments or click any links from unofficial or questionable sources.
